Operations measures
Before deploying equipment and personnel on-site, a detailed operational procedure must be prepared. This procedure should include, but is not limited to, the following key aspects:
- Prerequisites:
- Ensure all operators have received proper training.
- Verify that the LARS and Achilles system are fully operational and ready for deployment.
- Job Details:
- Define the location and size of the work area.
- Estimate the expected duration of the operation.
- Identify any simultaneous activities in the area that could impact the operation.
- Outline the required lifting and handling procedures.
- Interface Requirements:
- Specify the auxiliary equipment needed (e.g., hoists, snatch blocks, sea fastening ropes)
- Determine the location and positioning of all required equipment.
- Identify placement of the HPU, sufficient connecting hose length and correct plugs are installed and sufficient pressure and flow is available.
