Before deploying equipment and personnel on-site, a detailed operational procedure must be prepared. This procedure should include, but is not limited to, the following key aspects:

  • Prerequisites:
    • Ensure all operators have received proper training.
    • Verify that the LARS and Achilles system are fully operational and ready for deployment.
  • Job Details:
    • Define the location and size of the work area.
    • Estimate the expected duration of the operation.
    • Identify any simultaneous activities in the area that could impact the operation.
    • Outline the required lifting and handling procedures.
  • Interface Requirements:
    • Specify the auxiliary equipment needed (e.g., hoists, snatch blocks, sea fastening ropes)
    • Determine the location and positioning of all required equipment.
    • Identify placement of the HPU, sufficient connecting hose length and correct plugs are installed and sufficient pressure and flow is available.
