User Manual Achilles Launch & Recovery (LARS)
The Launch and Recovery System (LARS) is specifically designed for the Achilles robot to facilitate its deployment onto the ship hull. The system includes ramps on which Achilles initially drives. These ramps are then tilted from a horizontal to a vertical position, allowing the robot to drive off and attach itself to the ship’s hull using its magnetic system. LARS is intended to deploy the robot with the standard equipment setup, including the linear tool and cofferdam. Deploying with alternative configurations should be evaluated for compatibility before use.

No one is permitted to operate or perform maintenance on the systems without first reading and understanding this document. This requirement is in addition to the mandatory hands-on training conducted by a Remotion-approved instructor. |
