Create a Management of Change (MOC) document
BACKGROUND
“Management of Change” (MoC) is used to document changes in projects and during operations. Changes in projects and operations can for example influence the risk level at site and it`s high importance to evaluate and manage the change and secure an effective and safe change in an ongoing project while keeping the communication clear.
The Management of change is the process that ensures all changes made to a project`s baselined scope, quality, cost and schedule are captured, evaluated, approved and managed, to reduce negative impact to the project. All changes must be described, checked and approved to secure a safe work structure during an ongoing project.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to identify both technical and administrative changes to the project and an existing robot. It is intended as an internal document within Remotion, to be used during a project to manage changes within the project including the design process to ensure that the re-design stays on target.
SCOPE
- Change in the technical aspect of the equipment
Either changes and suggestions done by Remotion, by a client or by a third part during a project and during operation must be described by the issuing person. Changes and suggestions must be evaluated and approved before changes can be carried out. - Change in the procedure / sequence of work
The procedure developed, describes the step by step process in the operation/installation. Any changes could have a consequence and due to that must changes be described, evaluated and approved before changes can be carried out. - Schedule
Changes in schedule could have consequences either for Remotion, the client or a third part. It might for example influence the sequences in the step by steps. To ensure a safe workflow and having a clear line of communication during changes must all changes be described, evaluated and approved before changes can be carried out and other parties can be informed. - Organization
Changes in the organization could also have a consequence as for example familiarization, competency and/or handover must be conducted. Changes must be described, evaluated and approved before changes can be carried out and familiarization and alike must be performed for all involved to ensure a clear line of communication.
Any changes in the project or at site must be identified, evaluated, concluded, and documented. MoC form mused be used. Both the client (if applicable) and the Remotion responsible person shall sign the MoC ahead of relevant operation/installation/other changes. Normally the Remotion Project Manager responsible for the ongoing project shall sign the MoC.
