Safety
The Achilles system excel in executing a variety of tasks, particularly in areas that are difficult to access, and are suitable for complex projects both onshore and offshore. As a versatile tool carrier, Achilles can be outfitted with various attachments to its main frame, enabling it to perform functions such as ultra-high pressure washing, habitat and inspections.

No one is permitted to operate or system without first reading and understanding this document. The rigging of the Achilles system shall only be carried out by personnel with rigging certification. The setup should be conducted safely and properly in consultation with the operator of the installation. If a work permit or any other approval from the installation is required, this must be complied with. Only approved lifting and safety systems should be used during the rigging process. |
Remotion’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) shall be an integrated element in all planning and implementation of our activities to avoid injuries, accidents, or serious harm caused by our equipment or services and shall be in constant improvement within our HSE system.
We shall achieve this by complying with current legislation and maintaining a leading position in execution, through systematic internal controls with necessary measures such as risk analyses and activity planning to continuously identify potential incidents that may occur. We have a “zero philosophy” for injuries and accidents.
Safe Job Analyses (SJA) shall be conducted by all involved personnel before performing testing, preparations, operations, maintenance, and repairs. SJA shall be carried out by the responsible field engineer or Supervisor at the relevant location. Personnel performing the operations shall have the necessary competence and experience to carry out the operations.
In general, for all Remotion operations and locations, the following points are a brief reminder of personal safety requirements and expected behavior:
Personal protective equipment requirements for work in areas such as workshops or on deck:
- HelmetSafety glasses
- Coveralls
- Gloves
- Safety shoes
Further protective equipment requirements shall be assessed for specific tasks such as, but not limited to:
- Cutting/welding/grinding
- Working at heights
- Working in tanks
- UHP operations
Personnel are expected to use/participate/follow:
- Use a valid work permit (WP) if necessary
- Participate in SJA/Toolbox Talk
- If necessary, participate and contribute to weekly safety meetings, inspections, SJAs, etc.
- Personnel are expected to comply with Remotion’s HSE management system when working for or visiting Remotion’s operational location.
- All personnel shall respect barriers.
