Handling of Achilles
The Achilles robot exceeds the legal lifting weight for offshore work.
Under no circumstances should this robot be manually lifted.
All lifting operations involving Achilles must be conducted in accordance with the operation plan, the installation's internal regulations, and the rigging procedure for Achilles.
During lifting, designated lifting points must be used to prevent damage to both equipment and personnel. Personnel responsible for the lifting operation must hold a valid rigging certificate, as this is a requirement from Remotion.
Additionally, during lifting operations, it is important to be aware of the presence of powerful magnets. Individuals with pacemakers must maintain a safe distance from the robot system.
Please refer to the Rigging Procedure for more information regarding transportation, handling and securing Achilles.
