To ensure optimal performance, daily checks of the Achilles Drive Unit must be performed by the operating personnel. The following items should be checked after each dive with the Achilles Robot.

Flush the Drive Unit with fresh water

Manually remove foreign objects and dirt.

Visually check the condition of the drive unit, connector and cable.

Check that the securing split pin is in place thru the sprocket nut.

Refill the output shaft lubricant thru the grease nipple acc. to section 3.2  

Note: If water contamination is found in the exiting grease the Drive Unit must be replaced before diving!

If connector disconnected relubricate with Molykote 55
