Processing Time: The duration varies but generally takes several weeks. It's advisable to apply well in advance of your intended start date.

  • Residence Permit: Upon arrival in Brazil, you must register with the Federal Police within 90 days to obtain a residence permit. This registration is crucial for legal residency and work authorization.
  • Validity and Renewal: The VITEM V is typically valid for up to two years and can be renewed. After four years of continuous employment, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residency.
