When applicable, use the assembly drawings for step by step instructions of the assembly procedure.

Check housing for dents, damages, or misalignments. 

 

Remove the Housing Cap to check the Motor & Brake compartment.

Check the internal cables for damages. 

 

2.2. 

Look for trace of water ingress and corrosion in the compartment. 

 

2.3. 

Check O-rings for damage and lubricate them (Molykote 55). Replace if necessary. 

 

2.4. 

Check the free rotation of the motor shaft. 

 

Remove the gear & bearing assembly to check the internal parts 

 

3.1.  

Check free and smooth rotation of the output shaft. Replace bearings if necessary. 

 

3.2. 

Look for trace of water ingress and corrosion. 

 

3.3. 

Check the wave generator for damage. 

 

3.4. 

Clean and regrease the strain wave gear components acc. to Harmonic Drive Instructions: 
Assembly Instructions Gear Component Sets by Harmonic Drives 

 

3.7. 

Check O-rings for damage and lubricate them (Molykote 55). Replace if necessary. 

 

3.8. 

Test the water ingress sensor

Check connector for signs of water ingress, Lubricate with Molykote 55 

 

Remove the output shaft seal. Check the output shaft for extensive wear around the sealing surface.

Replace the output shaft seal.
